Bible Verses to Encourage Mommas

I just had my newest baby girl this past November. My oldest daughter had just turned 17 months when my sweet baby was born. I am so blessed to be a momma to these precious girls. But, in that first month I did not feel blessed.

There were many tears and phone calls to my mom asking what she did and any advice. I’m not sure if this was due to all my hormones and emotions. Or maybe because we just moved an hour away from everyone we loved. Or it may have been because I had 2 babies under the age of 18 months. Whatever the reason was, I decided I was going to put scripture all over my house so I could try and remain positive and focused on the blessings God had given me.

“My grace is sufficient for you. My power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper times we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9

“You will keep at perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
Isaiah 26:3

“Be quick to listen, slow to speak & slow to become angry.”
James 1:19

“Children are a gift of the Lord. The fruit on the womb is a reward.”
Psalm 127:3

“Cast your cares on the Lord & He will sustain you.”
Psalm 55:22

“Consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials.”
James 1:2

I hope this encourages you. Raising babies is a hard task and I don’t think people understand until they are walking that road. But, it is worth it and God will use you during this time.

  1. My Godmother passed away this last spring. She is who I always turned to for guidance and advice. I can see her sending all of these versed my way. Thank you for sharing!
